Practitioner Code of Conduct

As part of joining this directory, we ask practitioners to confirm agreement with the following principles:

I will not provide psychedelics to people in a destabilised state.
If people come to me with visions or recovered memories of early trauma or childhood abuse, I try to maintain neutrality over whether these visions are genuine memories or not, recognising that they might be literally real or they might be symbolic — and I as the therapist can't know for sure.
If people come to me reporting encounters with "negative entities", I try to maintain metaphysical neutrality over whether such entities are literally real or not.
I try to keep abreast of the latest research on post-psychedelic difficulties.
I will refrain from such statements as "the medicine always knows" or "there's no such thing as a bad trip".
I will try to put the client's needs over any personal need to defend psychedelics or the psychedelic movement.
Where necessary, I will refer clients to alternative support if appropriate.
I agree not to provide psychedelics illegally to anyone who contacts me through this database.
